Obtaining financing through the Generación del Conocimiento 2022 call (AEI y MCI)
We are excited to share with you our Reconstrucción y modelado virtual hepático 3D - REMOVIRT H3D health research project! Our team is working on creating a neural network with artificial intelligence capable of generating automatic three-dimensional reconstructions of the liver, based on images captured by computed tomography (CT) and resonance (MRI).
The REMOVIRT H3D project aims to improve the accuracy and efficiency of surgicalplanification, which can have a significant impact on healthcare and patients’ quality of life.
We are pleased to collaborate with professionals and organizations in the field of health research and computer science to achieve our goals. The participating entities are:
HBP Unit (Innovation Group in Surgery) within the Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria Galicia Sur at the Hospital Alvaro Cunqueiro, Hospital Universitario de Vigo
Escola Politécnica Superior de Enxeñería (EPSE) in the Campus Terra of the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela
Funding:
The REMOVIRT H3D project has obtained a grant through competitive concurrence from the Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades and the Agencia Estatal de Innovación - 2022 Knowledge Generation Call (Code: PID2022-142709OA-C22/PID2022-142709OB-C21).
In 2022, it obtained a grant through competitive concurrence from the Valuation, Transfer and Entrepreneurship Area of the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela.
